The first smoker was developed around 1850 in Heidelberg. Smokers are incense burners. They are small figurines that separate near the center where an incense cone is placed. After lighting the incense cone and closing the smoker, you will see the incense smoke come out of the figurine’s mouth. Smokers are all handcrafted and hand painted by artists in the Ore Mountain region. They come in a wide variety of designs ranging from traditional gingerbread salesman to the modern dentist. We carry smokers by Erzgebirgische Volkskunst, Richard Glässer, Seiffener Volkskunst, Kuhnert, PEWO, Christian Ulbricht and many more.
